In the last month or so, Indianautosblog has reported about various BS-VI-compliant Bajaj products reaching dealerships across the country and their prices being leaked; the most recent one being the BS-VI Bajaj Dominar 400. Now, it seems it is the turn of BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar NS160. As per the latest developments, the updated Pulsar NS160 has also started reaching the dealerships.
BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Changes
Just like most of the other BS-VI Bajaj motorcycles, the BS-VI Pulsar NS160 doesn’t get a host of new changes. It continues to have the same set of features, like:
- Sporty headlamp
- Sculpted fuel tank
- Semi-digital instrument console
- Perimeter frame
- Split seats
- Split rear grab rail
- Clip-on handlebars, etc.
However, as expected, the biggest change in the new motorcycle is its engine. It is the same 160cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, Twin Spark DTS-i engine, only now it complies with the more stringent and stricter BS-VI emission norms. For which, Bajaj might add a revised cat-con which could result in a slight weight gain. When it comes to the power and torque figures – 15.5 PS and 14.6 Nm respectively – they shouldn’t vary much.
Although the rest of the updated BS-VI Pulsar NS160 would mostly be the same, Bajaj could add a set of new decals and perhaps some new colour options.
BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Price
It’s being said that the new BS-VI NS160 would be priced at INR 1.03 lakh*. If that’s the case, then it would be around INR 9,000 dearer than its BS-IV counterpart. As far as its availability is concerned, since now it has started reaching the dealerships, it wouldn’t be long before Bajaj finally launches it. Some dealerships have also started accepting pre-bookings of the new bike. Interested customers can get one reserved by paying a token amount of INR 5,000.
We are expecting to get the official specs sheet of the BS-VI Pulsar 160NS in the coming few days, so stay tuned to Indianautosblog.
